Hot Stone Therapy Massage
Hot stones were used by Native Americans in the southwest as a healing treatment.  More recently, a technique using warm basalt stones has become popular as a means of relieving tension caused by stress.  After heating the smooth stones to a precise temperature, our massage therapists place them on strategic places on your body - often along the spine.  Depending on your needs, the stones may be coated in lotion and used in a rubbing motion to release muscles.  The hot stone treatment typically follows a warm up, Swedish Massage.

Swedish Massage
The classic massage, Swedish Massage incorporates long, smooth strokes, kneading, friction and tapping to promote relaxation and ease muscle tension.  Using massage oils to help the long strokes glide over your skin, the massage therapist first relaxes you.  Then, but kneading your muscles and manipulating your joints, the therapist releases the tension that your muscles retain.  Swedish Massage is the foundation for other types of massage.  If you've never had a massage before, begin here.
60 Minutes - $65.00

Prenatal 1 Hour Massage
Studies indicate that massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health.  Massage therapy addresses different needs through varying techniques to relax muscle tension and improve lymphatic and blood circulation through mild pressure applied to the muscle groups of the body.
60 Minutes - $75.00

Extended Therapeutic Massage
Enjoy 90 minutes of a full body massage, personalized to your specific needs. This more in-depth massage will energize and give you a sense of well-being.
90 Minutes - $95.00

1/2 Hour Zone Massage
This massage will be concentrated on specific areas indicated by you. It is a combination of Swedish, deep tissue, and sports techniques.
30 Mintues - $40.00

Sports Massage / Deep Tissue
With many of the same techniques as Swedish Massage, the massage therapist increases the pressure and focuses attention on knots known as adhesions.  A Deep Tissue Massage will be more intense and less comfortable than a Swedish Massage, though pressure is always adjusted according to the customer's needs. 

Sports massage can be used to either ready the muscles for strenuous activity or to assist the body in recovering from the after effects of such an activity.

At Neva Massage we also incorporate Trigger Point Therapy or Neuromuscular Therapy applies concentrated finger pressure to trigger points which are painful, irritated areas in muscles, to break the cycle of spasm and pain.

Medical massage for a specific area.
10 Minutes - $10.00
15 Minutes - $15.00

Aromatherapy
Using essential oils (highly concentrated plant extracts) mixed with a carrier oil like sweet almond or grapeseed oil, the massage therapist seeks to create the right blend of your body's needs.  The oils are then used during the massage for your therapeutic benefit.
